Hello! I'm Phoebe, a self-taught artist and illustrator based in London, specialising in watercolour and ink portraits of buildings. What started as a lockdown project in 2020 has turned into years of capturing the places that matter most to people.
I fell in love with the joy that comes from painting someone's home, their favourite pub (especially when it was closed!), a first date location, a wedding venue, or that restaurant where everything changed. Every building tells a story, and every commission is a chance to capture those memories and moments in paint.
Based in London but shipping worldwide, my work has found homes everywhere from around the corner to New York, San Francisco, and beyond. Whether it's the house you grew up in, the place you got married, or simply somewhere that holds a special place in your heart, a building portrait is a thoughtful and truly one-of-a-kind gift.

My Process
Photo
Before I begin your commission, I'll need a photo reference to work from. I can work with you to ensure the photo is high enough quality to do your building justice. If a single photo won't work, I'm happy to work from multiple reference images instead.
Sketch
Once we've settled on the photo, I'll begin with a pencil sketch to map out your building's composition and proportions. I then work in ink, carefully adding layers of detail and architectural features to bring your home to life on the page.
Paint
The final stage is watercolour, where your home truly comes alive. I carefully layer colour, shade, and highlights to add depth and dimension, ensuring every detail reflects the unique personality of your building before delivery.
